Halls & Community Centres

The Slocan Valley probably has more halls per capita than any other place in Canada. This is a testament to our community spirit. We lovingly refer to ourselves as “the Valley of the Halls”.

Many halls are multi-use community facilities, housing regular programs such as schools in the day, and then rolling up the carpet at night for community meetings and dances. Built by and for the people of the community, their architecture and events reflect the soul and life of the community.

From schools, dances, and community meetings, to weddings and funerals…our halls are an integral part of our lives.
