The cuisine in the Slocan Valley, like its people, is eclectic…from buffalo burgers, to Doukhobor borsch to Hemp burgers and Mexican food. There are no international (or even national) fast food outlets here.
There is a healthy offering of tasty organic and vegetarian fare, as well as the old favourites. You can buy food at convenience or grocery stores in the larger towns, at roadside stands in the summer, or at restaurants in the larger centres or at local Inns.
