Slocan Community Library will welcome writer, researcher, and speaker Eileen Delehanty Pearkes.
In her presentation ‘The Columbia River Treaty, its history, and the land that we love,’ she will speak about the opportunity we have to bring a more generous and thoughtful perspective to the region’s water.
The presentation will focus on her latest book, A River Captured: The Columbia River Treaty and Catastrophic Change.
Eileen Delahanty Pearkes was Nelson’s cultural ambassador for 2017.
