Whole School Enchanted Forest Walk Oct. 31
Oct 31 @ 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm

This year The Whole School is adding another fun fall fundraising event to the roster. In addition to the annual Blue Moon Coffee House event happening on December 9, Whole School families are organizing an Enchanted Halloween Forest Walk for Tuesday, October 31 from 5 – 8 pm.

Bowls of chili, a baked goods concession and hot apple cider (fresh pressed from Press Fest) made from the students’ most recent food adventure – apple picking – will be served outside.

This Halloween event is the culmination of a bountiful fall for Whole School students who have been busy apple picking and making juice. The students rode the W.E. Graham Community Service Society’s new bus for a fun field trip; they picked over 400 lbs of apples to make juice to serve at their annual Harvest Lunch event and at the Halloween Walk.

The Whole School Enchanted Forest Walk will feature the students pumpkin lanterns. Families who are interested in participating in the Enchanted Forest Walk can contact Kristan at 250-226-6747. The cost is $5 per child. Please reserve to ensure every child receives a goodie bag of wholesome treats provided by the enchanting characters that will be visiting our magical school! This event is recommended for ages two to seven. Come and join the Whole School on this special night!

For more information contact the school at wholeschool@gmail.com or call 250-226-7737.

Locavores’ Feast at the Whole 2018 @ Vallican Whole Community Centre
Jan 27 @ 5:30 pm – 9:30 pm

Come at 5:30 and settle in and dinner is at 6pm.   Admission is a generous potluck item, and a donation to keep your Whole running is always welcome. As many local ingredients as possible is the aim…but there is no need to be absolute purists about it…  chocolate has to be local somewhere :)

New this year, Silent Auction!

Be prepared with your cheque book and competitive edge, because there will be something there you won’t want to miss out on.

To pique your interest, here are some select auction items on the block:

* A $350 gift certificate towards a group rental with Paradise Valley Lodge

* Artwork from some of your favourite local artists like;  Rab’ia Gonzalez , water-colourist Susan Harder, Naomi Lewis , Stillpoint Pottery, Buck Walker, Carl Schlichting and more!

* A gourmet meal for four

* A lovely ham roast from White Crow Farm and other locally grown offerings

If you have something you would like to offer at the silent auction (a service, gift certificate, art, a re-gift that you know others would snap up) … please drop us a line at info@vallicanwhole.com  or call Gary at 250-226-6979. It also is a great way to advertise your new business!
