World Rivers Day- 2019 at Crescent Valley @ Cresecent Valley Hall and Beach

September 29 is World Rivers Day and all are invited to Crescent Valley to celebrate local rivers.

The day starts with a ceremony at the beach, from 1 to 1:45 pm, followed by refreshments and a video at Crescent Valley Hall from 2 to 3 pm.

A short documentary will be shown at 3, then at 3:30 to 4 the raffle draw takes place.

World Rivers Day, annually celebrated on the last Sunday in September, was created to improve and protect the rivers around the world. It began in 2005, when the United Nations launched the Water for Life Decade.
