Against the Wind Farm
Against the Wind is a multigenerational family farm project. We are committed to growing sustainable food, stewarding the land, and creating a beautiful environment in which to live, work, and visit.
Located on five acres north of Winlaw in the beautiful Slocan Valley, Against the Wind produces sustainably grown blueberries and garlic. Visit us for U-pick blueberries (July-August) and place direct orders for garlic (August). Follow us on social media and visit our website for seasonal details and updates.
In 2023 Corky celebrated 51 years on the land; Helen joined him in 2008 and they have been working together to develop Against the Wind ever since. In 2021 Nikko, Jeremy, and kids joined them with the intention of taking over the farm business and embracing the responsibility of land stewardship into the next generation.
We’re excited for friends, neighbours, and visitors to the Valley to join us as our farm transition unfolds, and we look forward to seeing you this growing season!
We acknowledge with humility that Against the Wind Farm is located on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Sinixt.
