If you run an online business, home-based business

If you run an online business, home-based business, export products or provide local services in the Slocan Valley, we want to hear from you!

We’re looking to spotlight 10 local businesses as a "Buy Canadian, Support Slocan Valley" campaign on our website and social media channels in the coming month. In order to participate, you need to have an online store - either direct through your website or through a third party online retailer.

If you'd like to be profiled, please fill out the form linked below. We can only accept 10 businesses and aim to represent a variety of sectors and communities within the Slocan Valley.

If you're selected, we will follow up with you to ask you some interview questions and request a photo of you that relates to your business.

This is yet another addition to the Support Slocan Valley campaign. Supported by the Columbia Basin Trust, Community Futures Central Kootenay and the Slocan Valley Economic Development Partnership, we've been working hard over the last several months to support our local businesses through counselling, training and loan programs for businesses, the public campaign has included free coffee and local shopping vouchers at stores and markets, plus six videos focusing on the impacts of last summer's wildfires and profiles of each of our Slocan Valley communities.

Welcome to Crescent Valley! The southern gateway to the Slocan Valley.

This small community welcomes white water paddlers, sun bathers, hikers and cyclists, and everyone in between. And it may only have a few small businesses, but this place is big on connection.

With a beautiful beach and regional park wrapping around the shoreline of the Slocan River, people have access to whitewater rafting and kayaking, canoeing, swimming, picnicking and more. This park is also an historic site for the former sawmill.

In this video, we met up with the wonderful people at @frogpeakcafe, @endlessadventurepics, @tonikdistillery and @evergreenmarket_ca to find out why they love to work and live here.
