Summer Breeze Music and Art Party

Summer Breeze Music and Art Party is a free community event in Winlaw, BC on July 13, 2019, linking diverse Canadian visual and performing artists with the public for the purpose of engaging the public with arts and culture in the community; creating interest in the arts and revenue for local artists; as well as affording attendees a platform to participate in creating art. Last year was the first instalment of this event, and it was a great success. The event features interactive art stations where participants hae the opportunity to practice the art of paint pouring and/or add to a community mural of faces. As well, artists (painters, sculptures, carvers, Silversmiths and more) will display their works and engage with the public to create meaningful dialogues, sell their works and take commissions on new pieces. There will also be a delightful array of theatrical performances, dance groups and local music acts from bluegrass to jam band to electronic and world dance ensembles throughout the day. As well, there will be a LIVE art-to-music station where artists take turns painting to live music.
