Technically the Pass Creek Road is outside of the Slocan Valley, but it’s worth mentioning as an interesting alternative to Highway 3A to Castlegar.
Turn east at Crescent Valley, cross the bridge and take an immediate left to get on this 30 km winding road along traditional Doukhobor farmlands and Goose Creek. At the southern end of the road is Robson and Castlegar.
The Pass Creek Park near Castlegar was established in the 1960s and has a 30-site campground and is a well used multi-purpose park that offers camping, swimming, picnicking, beaching and ball sports
It is also the home of the Annual Pass Creek fair held on the third weekend of September.
